It's here! Our 4-month Clarinet Practice Planner is 150+ pages of goodness divided into 3 main parts! We designed this journal to not only give you a space to plan your practice, but also as a resource of materials, a place to get clarity on your big why, and a place to go for inspiration! This is a DIGITAL version of the journal which will arrive to you via a full color PDF! The planner has 4 months of blank dates, so you can start whatever month/date you'd like.

PART I: YOUR BIG WHY & A PLAN

First, you've gotta get clear on WHY you're doing any of this in the first place! And, get clear on what goals you want to achieve. You can't hit a target that doesn't exist! In this section:

  • Create or review your 10-year plan
  • State your purpose, your BIG WHY
  • Map upcoming 4 month period
  • Fill in your Continuous Calendar

PART II: RESOURCES

One thing you always want are resources! We've put together our top goal setting and practice tips, plus a few of our favorite foundational exercises to help you establish great clarinet habits. In this section:

  • 8 Big Lessons on Routine
  • 10 Practice Tips
  • The Fundamentals Stack & Suggested Clarinet Exercises

PART III: WEEKLY GOAL MAP & PRACTICE TRACKERS

Here's the heart of the journal - a place for you to plan, record and review your practice, goals and habits. We designed this structure to help you stay directed and motivated in the practice room. Take 10 minutes on Sunday (or any day you start your week) to really dig in, make a plan, get centered, and set your intentions. In this section:

  • Goals of the Week + Habit Tracker
    • Looking ahead, what do you want to achieve? As the week goes on, how are you following through?
  • Daily Plans
    • Create a systematic practice plan for each day covering key elements of practice. Remember: you can always change the plan but not starting with one is a mistake!
  • Review The Week/Refine For the Future
    • How do you feel about what you did? How can you set yourself up for more success in the future?
  • Blank Manuscript + Notes
    • The manuscript page is for keying into a specific technical problem area. Write down exercises your teacher assigns, "practice cells" for which you want extra practice, fingerings, challenging intervals or anything else that comes to mind.
